PASTOR BIO

Baron N. Hopkins, Sr. is a native of the Eastern Shore of MD who grew up in the small town of San Domingo. After attending the local public schools and graduating from high school, he enlisted in the military. Years later, he went on to pursue several degrees. Those degrees include an Associates in Applied Science, Bachelor of Behavioral Science, Masters of Divinity from Howard University School of Divinity, and later honored with a Doctorate of Ministry from St. Thomas Christian University and Theological Seminary. In getting back into his military roots, He re-enlisted in the Maryland National Guard in 2007 and currently serves as Chaplain (Major) Baron Hopkins of 1100th TSAMG, Edgewood, MD.

In 1993, he was called to serve yet again, but this time it was to the Lord’s house at Zion United Methodist Church. He served under the leadership of Rev. Gertrude Brown, his mentor. Under his mentor’s guidance, he served on many functions and committees at Zion. Following years of preparation and the anointing called upon his life, in 1999 Pastor Hopkins started his preaching career at Calvary UMC where he served for seven years. He was then appointed to senior pastor of the Bridgeville, DE Circuit Charge for several years, Dale UMC and Lee Haven Middletown, DE,  followed by senior pastor of St. James UMC in Westover, MD in 2014. Ultimately, God would release him to embark upon his own ministry as the founding pastor of FullWell Baptist Church, Salisbury MD. Over the years, his charismatic preaching and teaching style has opened the doors to many other ministerial endeavors throughout his career. Through this, he has been able to embrace lost souls and perform various forms of community outreach. Pastor Hopkins is a member of the FreeMason Masonic Lodge #73, American Legion, NAACP, and a member of the Kingdom Association of Covenant Pastors (KACP).

The work of the Lord has always been first and foremost in his heart, but with unwavering faith, he made the decision to be proprietor of Salisbury Removal/ Baron Hopkins Sr. & Son Trucking. Being the effective communicator that he is, he also is a published author. His 2018 book “Navigating Life’s Highway Through the Lens of Works, Responsibility, Effectiveness, Consistency, Kindness, and Slothfulness” is a deepdive into the subjects that can help uncover the root causes of our “wrecks” and how we can effectively change towards God’s purpose for us.

With such a great calling to fulfill, he is supported in his ministry by his wife, Selina. They are the proud parents of four children and three grandchildren.
